We seek to meet the needs of the Latinx community in Yale and New Haven.

The Kappa Chapter of La Unidad Latina, Lambda Upsilon Lambda Fraternity, Inc. was founded at Yale University by seven undergraduate Latino men. These students sought to make a difference at Yale and advocate for the support of Latinxs in higher education. At the time, Yale lacked a cultural center and other resources necessary to support the success students of color. Over the past two and half decades, The Kappa Chapter has been an engaged part of Latinx activism on campus, including the growth of the Dominican Student Association, the rise of Latinx recruitment to Yale, and the construction of La Casa Cultural. Additionally and importantly, The Kappa Chapter provides its Hermanos with leadership and professional development, brotherhood, and a network of successful Latinxs across the country. We hope this website provides you with ways to get involved with us, since teamwork, collaboration, and inclusion are fundamental values of our fraternity.
